Happy Birthday Ari!

We had Ari's 1st Birthday on Jan 21, 2012. Her actual Birthday was on the 23rd, but I wanted to do it on a weekend. I had a ton of fun planning and preparing... well I think you call that fun...I was actually quite stressed about it! I found this website called www.Karaspartyideas.com they have the cutest parties on there, and I've always aspired to have a party just like that for Ari. The party turned out really cute but not as fabulous as a "Karaspartyideas" party... I do not know how these mothers have the $$ or time to throw parties like that, its nuts! Oh well we had a fun time and Ari loved her cake and presents, that is all that matters right?? Here are a few pics from the party, one of my Besties was kind enough to bring her super nice camera and be my photographer, because heaven knows when you are throwing a party for 50 ppl you do not have time to think about take pictures and chase a 1 year old.

I have been a sucky updater! For that I apologize.... We have had lots going on that I need to write about but one big thing I need to tell everyone about is.......

ARI is 1 !! ( you thought I was going to say something else didn't you??)
Our little Ari is one and I am so excited for her. She is growing up so fast and she is so smart.
She loves learning to walk she will get up and take a few wobbly steps ever chance she gets, and she is so excited to be able to be doing this cool thing. She has a few toys that help her walk and she always has the biggest smile when she is using them, she just thinks its the coolest thing ever!!
She babbles all the time and acts like everyone should know exactly what she is saying. She loves her Daddy, and says Dadda? all the time. When we ask her what the puppy says she say "ruh! ruh!". When I ask her what Fergie says she says "grrrr" (Fergie is the little Diva of the house). I still cannot believe my little girl is 1, we are going to have a big celebration for her I can't wait to see her dig into her cake! Here are her 1 yr pics! So stinking cute! I love those big blues eyes!

Grandma Mari and Grandpa Brad with Ari at This is the Place Heritage Park, a friend of mine is apart of a Non profit organization called YMAD, they take High School kids to India each year and work in the orphanages. They were having a big celebration to raise money to go to India this November.

Ben got asked to run in the rickshaw races sponsored by SilverLeaf. they each had to take turns pulling and riding, up and down hills, it was a hard run but they did a really good job!

My cute niece's Livvy, Sadie and Jenna helped me out all summer long and came with me to work to watch Ari, it was so nice to beable to have Ari with me at work for the summer! (Above- Livvy)

On June 29th 2011, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary! 5 Years 2 dogs, 2 houses and 1 baby later we are more in Love than ever. We took the day off and went to the movies and lunch and played with Ari. For my present Ben gave me a night stay in Park City, so we went there that weekend and had lots of fun. We spent the day at the outlets, then took Ari swimming, and also went to the big farmers market and celebration they were having for the 4th of July. Ben really wants to get into biking, but its so expensive so I made him a "Bike" jar with some "skrilla" so he could save up for his bike.

So I need to do a little catch up.

We blessed Ari on May 1st. It was such a wonderful day, she looked so adorable in her white dress, and Ben did a great job with the blessing, it was so tender and loving, he is a wonderful Daddy. My amazing aunt knows short hand, she wrote down the blessing for us and typed it up. I just thought that was the neatest thing! Ari will have that to look back at for years to come, and always remember the words her Daddy said for her on her blessing day. I didn't take pictures like I wanted to and I could seriously kick my self for that :( We got a few pictures though, and I had her pictures done professionally with the blessing dress on, so we have that! After sacrament we had a get together with some friends and family, it was quite the ordeal! In Ben's family it is tradition to invite EVERYONE! Which is fun, but if you both have large families it can get to be alot! So I just invited my immediate family and we invited Ben'e extended family. Sorry my family but its not really tradition to go to everyone's blessings so I figured you'd all be ok with just an announcement. It was a large group of probably 85 or so! We had yummy food and talked and just had a great celebration for my sweet little Ari!

5 Months!!

Ari is 5 months! I can't believe it! This time has gone by so fast it feels like I was just bringing home this brand new baby from the hospital scared, not sure about what I was doing or what was in store for me in the future, now she is 5 MONTHS! wow!

Somethings about little 5 mo. old Ari

She rolls around like crazy! Just the other day I laid her on the couch and left for a mila second, when I came back she was rolling off the couch, I jumped and caught her head just in time, she was a little started but all I had to do is smile at her and then she smiled back like nothing even happened.

She is so smiley, she wakes up smiling and goes to sleep smiling, I love it. When I am nursing (and this may be TMI) she will look up at me smile then put her head down and continue eating..

like she is all bashful or something.

She talks all the time.

She loves to grab at everything, when I have her in the Baby Bjorn she helps me cook and clean, she has to put her hand out to anything I am holding.

She is starting to love her puppies, she grabs for them and pulls their ears and thinks it's funny to watch them run around.

She loves to go for rides in her stroller and just be outside in general.

She loves her baths, and gets mad when I take her out.

She loves to be naked, when I get her undressed for her bath she gets all giggly, and I all ways yell NAKED!! she thinks that is hilarious!

She loves Bananas, and Sweet Potatos

She loves to be in her Bumbo.

She loves when we say silly things and act silly, that really gets her laughing.

She does not like getting in her car seat, she gets very upset when we put her in there.

She likes her binky when she takes a nap and when she goes to sleep at night

She loves to snuggle her little doll when she sleeps.

She puts everything in her mouth.

She comes to work with mom and loves all the people that come talk to her.

I love that she loves to snuggle with her Mom. She will be fussy and all she wants is her Mom,

and I love it!

I love when its early in the morning and I have just fed her and she is just snuggling me going back to sleep, the house is all quiet and I just get to enjoy my sweet little baby.

Ari tried Sweet potatoes for the first time.. it was pretty comical. The first bite she took she winced at the taste and made quite a few funny faces! I love this girl she is so silly, she makes me smile and laugh everyday!

Lets start from the very begining

So my goal of writing every Sunday has not kept... We have had just so much going on I haven't had time...first it was Ben's B-day, then Easter, then Ari's Blessing, then mothers, day, etc etc etc... But today is my starting day and I am going to start from the beginning from the day we went to the hospital to have Ari.

On what was supposed to be my last appt. my Dr. came in and felt my belly and said whoa, you look really big! (gee thanks ;)) She got out the measuring tape and measured, I was showing 44 weeks and I was only 39, so she checked me and I was barely, maybe a 1, and just a little thinned. So she started to get worried. Cathy is just a midwife so went and got the Dr. to see what his opinion was. He was also concerned that the baby was too big for me as well. I had gained 5 Lbs in one week and the baby had obviously grown fast as well. They were worried that since I had not progressed any that by the time I did have the baby she would be WAY to big for me and that I would have to go C-section. I really did not want to go C-section.

So they decided to have me come back in the next day and have the Ultra sound tech do a thorough Ultra sound to see how much she though the baby would weigh and if I still had enough fluid. The Ultra sound tech said I had good fluid, and she thought the baby was going to weigh about 8-8 1/2 lbs. YIKES!

No you all have to know that Ben's family has history of large babies. They are all 8,9 & 10 pounders, one of his sisters was 11 Lbs!!!! (and not C-section btw) I did not think that it would carry through to me, I thought that my weight as a baby would be and indication of how my own babies would be. Now I don't know exactly how much I weighed but I was not 8 lbs!

So any way after the ultra sound check, I came in the next day again and still had not progressed. Even though my sweet sis in Law Dana made me try everything in the book... bouncing, foot messages, eating crazy food and all the other things we try when we are desperate to get that baby out!:)

So when my Dr. saw that I hadn't progressed she suggested I schedule and induction, which I really did not want to do, but I also did not want to have a C-section. So I agreed and she scheduled it for 5:30 am Sat. Jan 22. 2011.

So I kind of freaked out because it was actually here! I was going to have this baby. I stayed up till 3am cleaning my house Friday night. Then we woke up late and we were an hour late to the hospital, I was so upset and frustrated, Ben had to calm me down and tell me it's ok we are going to have our baby, be happy!

When we got to the hospital the got me all hooked up to the machines and got me going on Pitocin.

From there I progressed very slowly, they kept turning the pitocin up and up but nothing was happening, I was in pain and having lots of contractions but I was not dilating. I finally decided to have my epidural at about 7:30pm, and it was GREAT. After a little bit I was finally to a 4! About an hour after that my nurse came in again to see how I was doing, she asked if I wanted to be checked to see if I progressed any,(they were all a little skeptical and thought I wouldn't have the baby until the next day around 6am.) But when she checked she was like "Oh! Your ready to push, I'm going to go call you Dr.!"

From there it was a whirl wind! nurses running in and out bringing in all the machines and tools and what not, then our families got there and our Dr. came in and got all suited it up. By this time it was about 11pm. I pushed for an hour, then my Dr. said she was going to have to call the O.B. , she was worried I was going to need to do a C section. When he came he put the vacuum on and I pushed for another hour, all the while they kept saying if your tired we can just go C section, but I kept refusing, I did not want to go. Finally the Dr. said ok one more try and then we are taking you C section, no question about it. He yelled to the nurses to get the NICU nurses ready. I finally gave one more push and something actually happed and she started coming.

The Dr. laughed and said "well guess that did it for you".... I was just like oh shut up....

She was finally born at 1:02 am Sunday Jan 23, 2011.I was exhausted and starving, I held Ari for a minute then passed her to Ben I could barely hold her I was so tired.

And that is the very LONG story of Ari Jane Sims.

Introducing...

So I know I am way behind on my blogging.... My goal is to do a post every Sunday from now on. I have lots of stories and pictures to share of my sweet little baby. But in the mean time here is her annoucement. Enjoy!(Because we sure do!)

NYC

So back in September Ben and I decided to go to New York City for one last hoorah before the baby. We had a goal to make this trip before we started to have kids, so since the baby came a little earlier than we planned we had to hurry and squeeze this trip in!

We has so much fun and we able to do the trip for relatively cheap. My friends husband works for the airline so we were able to get buddy passes. They were a great price, but we had to fly stand by which was super nerve wracking!!! We were never sure about our flights, and were always on the edge of our seats waiting to see if we were going to make it on the flight. Luckily we made all our flights and made it to NYC on time, and obviously made it back.

I also have a good friend who lives in NY, she and her husband were heading out of town so they ever so kindly offered their apartment to us while they were gone. This helped out a ton, hotels in NY are ridiculous, luckily our neighbor works for Marriott so she got us a discount for the night that we did have to stay in a hotel.

We has so much fun we tried to see just about everything possible!! The Pictures below are a bit jumbled but I think you will get the point.

We went to: bubba gumps, The Seinfeld restaurant, Yankees game(probably the highlight of our trip), FAO Shwartz(the toy store from BIG), Dylans Candy Store(Dylan is Ralph Laurens daughter, and she opened up her own candy shop. Soo cute!), Crumbs (the most amazing cupcake store! I think I still dream about those cupcakes), serendipity, central park, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and every where in between.

We went and saw a Broadway show called American idiot. I have to say it was not the best.... it was a little much for me with the loud music and the language. I did like the singing in it, the singers had really great voices. I did not love the choreography though... you can only do a head bang so many times! I like Greenday so it was fun to hear all their songs, over all I give it a 6.

Ben served his mission in New York so he took me to see one of his areas in Spanish Harlem. The area was interesting, I think we were the only Caucasians around and Ben pointed out a drug transaction to me... good times. We stopped by one of Bens apartments, then Ben took me to a pizza place he and his companions would frequent for lunch. The pizza was soo good, and it was huge, it covered my whole plate, I always wondered why New yorkers liked to fold their pizza... not just because they are weird New Yorkers but out of necessity!

7 Months

I am now 7th months and loving it! Nights are getting a tad uncomfortable but overall I feel like I've had a really good pregnancy. I cannot believe she will be here in 2 months, things are getting crazy! I feel her move a ton now, sometimes it feel like she is trying to stand up in there she is pushing so hard. We have decided on a name, it will be Ari Jane Sims, unless I go nuts at the hospital and decide to change my mind. We chose this name because we thought Ari was cute and different but not too different, and Jane comes from my great great grandma on my moms side her name was Abby Jane. I am super excited to meet this adorable little girl!

Crazy Times with the Sims

It's been an exciting, crazy, last few months, so sorry for the long post, I've just got to do some catching up!!

In April we had a sad thing happen, Ben's aunt Karen passed away, it was very sudden and unexpected, we were sad to see such a classy fabulous lady go, it was and still is a very hard thing to think about for our family, but we are all happy to have the gospel in our lives so we know we will be able to see aunt Karen once again. She had a beautiful funeral, one of my favorite parts was when all her grand kids got up and sang 'you give me a kiss you give me a hug, you smile when you see me too, I wish every child in the whole wide world had a grandmother just like you!'

Shane and Dana went on a little vacation and we got to watch the 2 cute boys! We had so much fun with those boys, they are so funny. It was so nice and hot one day I decided to turn on the sprinklers and bring out the watermelon. We had a great time! I found out too that Fergie likes to run through the sprinklers as well!

We Celebrated Ben's BIG 28!! I think it was a hard one for him because he is just that much closer to 30!:)

In April we also found out about the little bundle of joy that is on her way. She came as a little bit of a surprise, but she is a GREAT Surprise! We are so excited for this little girl to come into our lives. We are both super nervous about being parents but we already love her so much we cannot wait! We were so expecting that this baby was going to be a Boy, I had already bought a few boy things and was just SURE it was a boy. But when we went in for the "BIG" ultra sound she said "its a Girl...." we both just sat there for a minute like what??? Really??? I have to be honest and tell you we were a little disappointed, I feel bad saying that because it is my baby but we were honestly quite shocked it wasn't a boy. It didn't take me long though to get over it, that same night when I came home from work I had a present sitting on the counter from my Mother and Father in Law, it was an adorable pink head band and a sweet card to go along with it. As soon as I saw that little pink bow and thought about being able to put it on her little head for the first time I was over the fact that she was a, she!
This has been an exciting journey so far, I love being pregnant, we have just recently started to be able to feel her kick from the outside. One of my favorite things to do now is get into bed early and wait to feel her kick. We had a very fun summer, we were able to spend a few days in Bear Lake with Ben's family, it was a nice relaxing vacation, we played in the pool a lot, ate tons of delicious food, and spent a day at the beach, it was just what we needed!!
When we were at the beach we decided to make Garrett into a mermaid!

In August , 8-9-10 to be exact we had a new addition to the Baldwin family. Shane and Dana had their 3rd baby! It was a girl this time, her name is Lundynn Shae, she is so beautiful and I know she will be spoiled & loved by her 2 big brothers!

This summer I went into the unknown and decided to bottle salsa all by myself! I've bottled before but I've always had someone there to pretty much do everything for me, so I decided I wanted to do it myself this year, and I did. I stayed up until 4am on a Friday night doing it, but I got it done. It turned out great by the way and tastes delish. It will hopefully last us the first part of the winter... I don't know though Ben can go through that salsa pretty fast!

I have an awesome boss who just happens to have season REAL tickets. He gave Ben and I a pair for one Saturday afternoon, and it was so fun! We got to eat a great dinner and the atmosphere was so fun, there was loud music playing the whole time, and people cheering, we had a great time.

So It's been awhile! We have had lots going on and I promise I will get to it soon. We finally got the internet at our house so I can do some blogging at home! There is just one thing that I wanted to blog about though really quickly...
I am sure a lot of you may know by now but....

Yes that is right.... and if you didn't catch the Hint, we are expecting our first Baby in January.

Here is the Ultra sound at 11 wks, pretty cute little profile! The card above was what we sent to our family to tell them we were pregnant.

Right now I am 17 weeks, we tried to see what the gender was last week but the little guy was being diffucult. So we go back in for a big ultrasound on Sept. 8 and hopefully will beable to tell. We are pretty sure its a boy though, so any help on boy names would be great!

Poor Little Fergie

So I promise you everyone I am ok, just had to go on a tiny little rant last time.

Some other news is, my poor little fergie had to have surgery. Last Thursday she threw up and then just wanted lay in her kennel all day, she wouldnt eat or drink. She did the same thing on Friday and part of Saturday, So I told ben to take her in because she hadn't eaten in 2 days! When he took her in they did an xray and saw that she had something stuck in her intestine. They said we could wait until Monday to see if she passed it but if she didn't pass it they would have to do surgery. So she stayed at the vet all weekend an was on an IV because she was dehydrated. So Monday came around and I called first thing to see how she was, the dr. Said the object hadn't moved and that we would have to do surgery. So I ran down to the vet to sign some papers and to see fergie before she went into surgery. Surgery took about an hour an a half, they found what was blocking her intestine! Ben went and visited her Monday night and then we got to pick her up Tuesday morning.:)

She is doing good now she just has a big scar down her belly, she has a hard time walking up the stairs and jumping up, but she is happy to be at home. I feel bad for the little pup she's probably wondering what the heck happened!
For all u out there who don't have pets you might think I'm crazy for being so obsessed over my dog, but those with pets totally understand that a pet is apart of the family and you'd do anything to save them.

A guy at work said to me "well according to Darwinism shouldn't she deserve to die?". I was just like how insensitve!! And why do u care what I do with my dog anyway?? What a jerk! So the next time he needs something done at work you all know I'm going jump right on that! Anyway I'll post some pictures of little ferg and her belly.

Blogging thoughts tonight.

So it's 7:00 and I've just gotten off work. I am sitting on the train in silence with all my thoughts from the Day the week and the month swirling in my head. A lot has been happening lately and I feel that my blog is going to become a journaling blog tonight so I can just get it all out.
1 year ago when ben shut the doors to his business I took on the role of sole provider for our family, I sure was not ready for that curve ball, but sure enough I stepped up to the plate. Ben has been working to pay off the business for the last year and I have kept my role as "sugar mamma"... Providing a house, paying off bills, keeping our house lit and warm, our cars running... Etc. Well a month ago ben found out the car lot he worked for was shutting down. Wow! Do u ever feel like you can never get a head in life? When I was finally feeling like ben and I were getting our stuff together the big guy up stairs throws that at us. I was hoping that we could try for a baby in a year or so.....

God always has his reasons. After ben lost his job I found out that he wanted to get out of the car business... That is news to me! And I'm his wife... You know the girl he lays next to EVERY night before falling to sleep, you think I would have known something like that!!
So blessing in disguise! Now ben is going to be starting a job at market star next Monday and we are going to get his butt back in school!

Well folks there's my life in a nutshell. It's really not all that bad I do like my job for the most part and do appreciate the friendship I have with my boss. I have a wonderful husband and 3 Great friends I can share anything with at work! I have a great family who loves me and 2 adorable pups

So I know I have been unbelievably LAME at blogging. Ever since we moved into our own house with out the internet it's so hard to do any type of blogging. So I am doing some today, before work starts.

There have been many requests for Pictures from London and I am sure many of you are wondering if we even did go to London due to the lack of pictures. Well those London pictures are on my computer at home.. you know the one without the internet... so it might be a little bit before I can get those onto my blog.... But here is a little of what has been going on lately.

Last Friday I went to Swiss Days in Midway with my Mother In-law and 2 Sisters in-law. It was my first time and it was a blast! I took half the day off from work (which doesn't happen often) and we headed up the Canyon. There were tons of people there and tons of stuff to see...I just wish I had more $$.... Below is the treasure that I found..it's an old fashioned picture of the First Yankee Stadium.. I think it will go nicely with the giant black and white picture of N.Y.C. we have in our house. Incase you guys didn't know Ben Loves the Yankees/New York..and frankly I have to agree with him I love the Big City! Maybe we'll move there one day...;)

Oh the food there was awesome too! I had a scone that was 2 times the size of my plate..!

Our Cousin Nick recently had a liver transplant, and last month was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma (a type of cancer). You can all imagine how this might effect you and your family. We are holding a Benefit Garage Sale to help him out on :

WOW 3 YEARS! it goes by fast! We had a pretty stellar Anniversary.... we went to lagoon all day, we rode rides, we went swimming....yeah it was pretty awesome I got a great sun burn..which doesn't get to happen when you work inside all day everyday. Love you Benji! Thanks for 3 wonderful years!

We got a new little friend.. his name is Bronx. The Story of this goes: Shane buys a dog for the 2nd time.... Dana...trys the dog but decides she doesn't want it....so therefore we have a new Puppy! We saw Slum Dog Millionaire this weekend. It was the greatest movie EVER!!!!! Iloved it. There was a little violence but thats about it....but i guess that is probably what it is really like living in the slums of a 3rd world country...

So I got some really super cute Ornaments at our annual Day After Thanksgiving Shopathon...and since I don't have my own house yet I was feeling a little down about not being able to put up my christmas Tree this year...So my mom was nice enough to forego her "Mickey Christmas Tree" and let me put my decor on her tree! We has such a fun Halloween!! I dressed up as Wonderwoman! Ben didn't want to dress up so I decided to just beat him up! We went and hung out with our nieces and nephews and saw all their cute costumes and then went our to dinner with Bens parents. Nothing to exciting but it was still a really fun night! I have also posted pictures from our fun family halloween party, we ate dinner in a punpkin, played fun games and then had a spook Alley where we scared all the little kids half to death! It was a great time!

This summer we went to Vera cruz Mexico and picked up Bens brother Jared. let me tell you I am PROUD TO BE an AMERICAN!! It was a neat experience but to see how those ppl lived and how their country was in such poverty made me so thankful for what I had.. You know those scenes in Movies when ppl get home to America and kiss the ground? Well I thought I might really do that... I was so thankful to be and American I wanted to cry when we landed in Texas, and were finally back in America! We had some crazy experiences there in Mexcio we visted a ton of Jareds friends he knew and got to see what the "real" mexico was like.... it is really sad but it was a humbling experience. On our way home we almost had to leave Ben in Mexico... I guess there was some stupid little paper they gave us on the way there and Ben threw it away... he had to go up in imigration and talk some guy into giving him a new paper..and he had to pay the guy off like 60 bucks! It was horrible I thought we were going to have to stay there an extra few days and be stuck in the airport like the movie "terminal". It was a crazy experience I hope I haven't bored all of you to death!

Ok I copied this from my sis in laws, sisters blog..... so any way.. I thought this story was soo touching and I think I am getting a little teary eyed just thinking about it again. But I wanted to share this with all my blogger friends in hopes that you will be touched also!

HEY EVERYONE! I NEED YOUR HELP WITH SOMETHING!!! I want to tell you about our cute cousin Jamee Kevern! Jamee and Jason had three children, Gage, Gavin, and Gunner when they adopted their sweet little baby Graysen from a young, single mother in Chicago last January. This mother fell on some hard times, and when Graysen was 9 weeks old, Jamee and Jason took her other 4 kids to stay with them until she came back to get them. Unfortunatly the mother was unable to come back and get the kids so they were all going to be sent away to foster homes.Jamee and Jason being the amazing people they are decided "We cannot split kids. If there's any way of keeping these kids together, we have to try, because we wouldn't be able to live with ourselves if we don't at least try."

On December 12 Their Family of 6 became a family of 10! Jamee and Jason adaopted them ALL!

The Keverns were featured in a KSL clip last Christmas and at the end of the clip & article it jokes, "Perhaps child number nine will be here for Christmas next year.

"WELL... About 6 or 7 months ago Jason had a dream that they had a new baby GIRL, and sure enough my cousin found out shortly after that~SUPRISE! She was PREGNANT! And they soon found out that it WAS A GIRL! Baby Kapri will be here sometime around November/December. (she's tiny so who knows exactly when!)

So everyday I try to be a good person and save the enviroment. I ride the Front Runner train to work everyday, then take a bus from the train station to my office, which is about 6 blocks. It saves a lot on gas and I am saving the enviroment!!:) But I had an unsual experience the other day on the bus... I was just sitting there minding my own business riding the bus with the rest of the business type ppl...and a guy went to get off on his stop but instead of heading out the door he got right up in my face.. like no breathing room...way out side the comfort zone!! and he said "how are you today?", "you sure smell good" Then got off the bus... SOOOOO CREEPY! all the other ppl on the bus were freakin out! "They were like are you ok.. and what the heck was that??, I can't believe he would do that!!" It was a little crazy! I guess I am offically a bus rider, and aparently I like to live my life on the edge by riding the bus!

So we had a fabulous Mothersday! We hung out with my moms family for a little while then had to check out to make it Bens family party. We had some awesome food that and were stuffed by the days end!!! Can I just say how thankful I am for my wonderful mother!! She has been letting us live with them for the past 8 months, she is always willing to do things for others and hardley thinks of herself! She had beens wonderful mother and I hope when I have kids I can do half as good a job as she has done with us! I am also thankful for a wonderful Mother-in-law. I hear those horror stories of people and their Mother-in-laws.. but I am so thankful that I have a fabulous one!! She is great! I think we get along really well. She and Brad will put down what ever they are doing if one of their kids needs something! I've never really felt like the "daughter in law" I just feel like a daughter.. like I was meant to be apart of this family! So that I am thankful for..

So this weekend was an eventful one! Ok so heres the story...I am in my car atleast 2 hrs a day and I love to listen to 101.9 the end. They were coming up on their 1 millionth song. So to celebrate the 1 millionth song they were giving away a car. To win the car you had to guess when you thought they would play the millionth song. So me being an avid fan of 1019 decided to make my guess. A week ago I got an e-mail from the stations director saying that my guess was one of the 101 closest guesses and that I should come down to this party they were having, they also stated that I HAD to be present to win the car. I am not the kind of person who usually just goes places on a whim, but I called my friend Bynz and she said she'd go with me. We got off work and headed to Legacy Mazda in Orem in hopes of a driving home in a new Mazda Miata!! Well needless to say I did NOT win the car...but... we did not go home empty handed. I got a T-shirt, and I got it signed by my 2 favorite radio personalities...Chelsea and chunga! ;) We are such dorks and here are the picutres to prove it..

Also my cute friend Alicia had her baby. Her name is Ayzlee and she is adorable. Congrats Alicia!!

So funny story!! This weekend I went out with some old friends from highschool. We went to Applebees for dinner. One of my friends decided she wasn't hungry so she just ordered an Orange Dream Shake. All through dinner she kept saying "this shake is gross, it doesn't even tast like orange". At the very end of dinner our waitress and a manager came to our table. The waitress asked my friend if she knew the drink had alcohol in it. She said no....and they said well are you 21 she said no..... My friend Jessica is a very LDS girl and has never had alcohol in her life. she was a little shocked but we were all laughing so hard. I feel really bad for laughing because the waitress got fired. But the whole rest of the night we kept teasing her and saying oh are you ok is the world spinning are you going to throw up.. she got a little bugged but it was an eventful night!! A night we as friends will never forget! Jessica haveing her first underaged Alcoholic drink!

It was Ben's birthday on April 5. So I am a little late getting this out. And I Don't have my pictures because my dad has his camera and thats the camera I took the pics with...So I am a bad wife today. But any way HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN!!
When ben woke up I made him breakfast in bed then my mom and I gave him our presents. I got him this really neat Ogio bag (camo of course) and my mom got him a gift card to his favorite place.... Sportsmans wearhouse!! yay! I hope he had a good day I didn't get to see him till really late, he had work and then priesthood session.

I just want to say how thankful I am for such a wonderful husband. He has been working very hard and sacrificing a lot to get his car lot started. I am very proud of him and all that he has accomplished... even if he thinks its not a lot, its definatly more than I could ever do. He is always very sweet to me and wants to make sure I am taken care of I love him to death!! Happy Late Birthday.

So I have a funny story about Kyle Korver. Aparently my brother is good friends with him. So one day I was just sitting at my desk doing my work as usual and from the corner of my eye I see someone walk past our front window...I thought to my self :'thats looked like Kyle Korver,...oh my heck it is Kyle Korver....and hes coming into our office right now!!!' So he came in and I was a little Star struck.. I did my recptionist thing: "hi How are you?" Welcome to SilverLeaf I'm Aimee" then he said "Hi I'm Kyle" and like a little idiot school girl I said "Oh, I know who you are!" he just kind of smiled and then I proceeded to go get Shane.
So needless to say I am an idot. But it was all worth it.. I got to touch Kyle Korvers hand! lol

Ok, so after this I need to be done with blogging for today! I am just a little bored at work...everyone is gone to meetings and all my projects are pretty much finished.

But I realized that I never did a little tribute to my new nephew and niece that were recently born...I did one for my friend but not my own family members..I am so lame.

So welcome to the world Daisy Jo Henderson Born January 13, 2008 9lbs 12 oz, 21 inches & welcome Grey Clark Baldwin born November 30, 2007 8lbs 6oz., 21 inches.

These to new arrivals have been so fun!! And it's nice to have the pressure taken off Ben and I. ;) I hope the pictures look ok some were taken with my phone...I know I know I'm a horrible aunt!

SPRING IS HERE!

Incase you didn't know; today is the first day of SPRING!! or well it's supposed to be, it doesn't much feel like it though. When I woke up this morning in S. Ogden there was a very light blanket of snow. But when I got to Salt Lake there was just a little drizzle of rain coming down, so maybe things are looking up.

I am so excited for SPRING and SUMMER and all the warmth that comes with it. I do like the snow and do enjoying snowboarding..but I absolutley LOVE the warmth! the hotter the better! If Ben would let us I would move to Arizona. I think I was born to live in warm weather...after all I was born in St. George.

I've posted some pictures in honor of Spring. One of some tulips which you often see in the Spring, an another is a picture I took while I was driving home last night (I know it wasn't the safest thing to do but I'm a pretty good multi task driver..atleast I think so.. I think I scare my husband to death!) But I looke down at the temp. and it said 61 degrees!! Whoo hoo! the Warmth is on its way!

Princess's on ice

Last week i got the wonderful opportunitie of going to Princess's on ice!! It was so much fun. Our nieces are so cute and get so excited, its fun to watch them get so excited!! Before I got married I had only one nephew named Jett who i love to death!! But when I got married i gained about 11 more nieces and nephews. I love all of my nieces and nephews and love to spend lots of time with them. Here are some fun pics of us as the Princess show, all my nieces got dresses up as princesses and apparently I didn't get the memo because I forgot to dress up.

"Grandpa Bob"

Ok so this may be a long post...My grandpa passed away last Tues, I got to talk a little at his funeral just about a memory I had of him but I have tons of memories so I am going to share them now, they might be kind of random but that is life!so... in Loving Memory of "Grandpa Bob", As I was driving to the hospital on Monday afternoon, I was trying to remember everything I could about grandpa, I didn't want to forget anything! I remember one time me and some cousins had been sleeping over at my grandparents house and my grandpa brought home the coolest gingerbread making kit, it had pre-made ginger bread men, with sprinkles and frosting... I just remember thinking that is was so cool of grandpa to bring this GREAT thing home for us!

-Grandpa used to bring flowers home to grandma everyday from work!!

-He had a funny old fashioned black lunch box that he took to work everyday.

-He liked peanut butter and a slice of cheese on his waffles, and i used to think it was so weird but now I like peanut butter on mine..I still think the cheese part is weird.

-Grandpa would go get pizza everytime we slept over

-He could fix anything!! and I mean ANYTHING! We always knew who to call when something was broken

-HE loved to work in the yard and he loved to decorate for holidays, especially for Christmas, he always has the house decked out...even when he was older and couldn't get around as well.

-He had a funny little voice he would do to make us laugh when we were little.- he was an amazing rymer!! I have a poem my grandma gave me when i got married.. just a silly little one about Cheesey eggs, but i know my grandpa wrote it.

-Grandpa LOVED grandma to death...at the funeral the bishop talked and said that he had met with my grandma to learn a little more about Bob...so he asked her to tell him about him and she said, "He loved me" and it is so true he took such good care of her.. my husband even mentioned to me that for their age they were a very "Lovey Dovey" couple... it's so true.

I will my grandpa but I know he is happier and I am so thankful for the plan of salvation!

As Ticey put it... I love to "blog surf" I was surfinh around on a friend of a friends blog and found this thing call www.myheritage.com, you can click on face recognition and load pics of you, your husband and you baby; the computer will load photos and then judge whether the child looks more like mom or dad! I tried to do it with fergies picture just as a joke but it couldn't find fergies face... i don't know why. But for those of you who have debated whether the baby looks like mom or dad more here is your solution!

I am so thankful for our previous prophet Gordon B. Hinckley, he was truely and inspiring man and touched my heart with every talk and message he gave. I am so thankful to have been able to be alive while he was our President. He will be greatly missed but we all know he will be happier joining his wonderful wife and our Heavenly Father.

Yesterday, January 16, 2008 Aimee Lorene Baldwin Sims turned 21 and is now officially an adult!!! My birthday was fun! Ben came and got me from work and we went out to lunch then went shopping at the Gateway. We also got to go to the One Republic concert, and for those of you who don't know who that is they sing "Apologize" and you can here that song right here on our blog. It was tons of fun we went with a few ppl from work and just had a great time!!!

Well we had a wonderful Christmas! It was a small one but a good one; full of parties, family, food and lots and lots of fun! Ben's family likes to make any excuse to get to gether during the holidays. They first have a big one with everyone where Santa comes, then we have a small one with just Ben's fam., where we eat the famous ham loaf! On Christmas we go to ben's grandmas for breakfast, ben's mom for snacks and to exchange gifts and talk to Jared the missionarie, then we go to his aunts for yet another meal!! We do also slip a little time in the schedule to hang with Aimee's family. The day after Christmas we have a "tea party" with just the girls, and then have a "day after Christmas party" at Ben's mom's house. so needless to say this holiday has been a busy one.

Our little puppy Fergie loved Christmas, she got lots of toys and treats and she has one toy that she will not put down, she's like a little kid!

Here is a little "diddy" of what has been going on with Ben and Aimee Sims:
We recently sold our house in West Haven and moved in with Aimee's parents in South Ogden. Ben decided to venture out on his own and start up his own car dealership! Aimee is very proud of ben and all his hard work, it gets stressful at times but all we can do is wait and pray that we will be blessed!! Aime recently got a new job also; she is working at a Brokerage company called SilverLeaf Realty, it's a great job and best of all...INSURANCE!! yay! We are both extremely busy with jobs and family parties but we are gratefull for all our many blessings.

I am still getting the hang of things for this "blogging stuff" so I will post some fun pics and make things a little more interesting. But for now ..thats all!
